The focus on Youth Empowerment is central to our organization. On the premise that little is of more value to a young individual , or society, than the lessons of self-determination, everything we aim to do educationally and culturally is directed towards the realization of potential which always resides in youth. As such our whole project is founded on this fundamental belief.
Since our beginnings we have been encouraging the empowerment to choose, distinguish, communicate, understand and traverse difficult issues in accordance with principles of democracy.
We understand that a society is defined by a conflict as well as an identity of interests. If we explore disasters of the past we find in every case the consequences of an educationally biased and culturally impoverished exposure to others. Only through the establishment of inter-cultural dialogue with our youth can the understanding needed for peaceful mediation of conflicting interests become possible. Such dialogues enable youth from adverse or difficult circumstances anywhere in the world to empower themselves.
