As an active organisation IPYL relies on a dedicated volunteer interest and involvement. By checking our activity reports you will see that we frequently host and send off long term volunteers, as well as our frequent instigation of work-camps and hosting of mid term volunteers.
Long Term Volunteering requires a greater duration of effort and energy than our intense international work-camps. It also rewards the volunteer, who for working with us for 3 to 6 months, is further immersed in the daily life and has the time to leave no stone in the West Bank’s cultural milieu unturned. Of course the long term volunteers gain a more detailed picture of the situation in Palestine. For those looking to learn some Arabic or carry out a study, long term volunteering certainly provides the time, and our local Palestinian volunteers may render their aid in this respect. Of course what we achieve is as various as our volunteers are diverse.
